Booth B2

THK Gallery is pleased to return to the Investec Cape Town Art Fair with a focused presentation of works by notable international and African artists, including Philip Emde, Talut Kareem ,  Driaan Claassen, Duncan Wylie, Karla Nixon, Thomas Wachholz , Abdus Salaam and Lulama Wolf.

THK Gallery continues its committed engagement with sculptural practice through a monumental presentation by Thomas Wachholz of bronze matchsticks in dance, titled Zeta (2025), this piece extends Wachholz’s investigation into scale and ephemerality. THK presents the final piece of the Zeta series, with previous editions having been exhibited at Art Cologne and in the Sculpture Garden at Enter Art Fair, Copenhagen.

Following his fourth solo presentation at Abu Dhabi Art 2025, Abdus Salaam returns to the Cape Town Art Fair with Mother. Celebrated for his sculptural practice, Salaam defies the material realities of Namibian marble, at once enveloped and coiled in an infinite organic form.

Philip Emde presents on the continent for the first time, with his acclaimed Steifltower at the heart of his presentation. Selected works embody Emde’s distinctive style, at once balancing critical observation and playfulness through his compositions of Steif animals, both physical and embodied in paint.

Following notable presentations at the Rupert Museum and the Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale, Shanghai, Karla Nixon presents Never One Thing All At Once, comprising of five panelled sequins compositions in a continued exploration of spectacle and attention, using light and movement as central components of her work.

THK Gallery also presents Tshepiso Moropa in the Tomorrows/Today section. Her presentation includes her video work Monna le Basadi Ba Babedi, alongside a selection of her prize-winning collage. This presentation follows Moropa’s receipt of the 2024 CAP Prize and the 2025 V&A Parasol Prize for Women in Photography, and precedes her institutional exhibition A Kind of Paradise at Museum Rietberg, opening in April 2026.
