Sophia Domagala

Sophia Domagala (b. 1981, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, installation, performance, and conceptual projects. She studied Fine Arts at HBK Braunschweig under Walter Dahn, as well as Art History and Philosophy in Berlin and Paris. Her practice explores perception, narrative, and social structures, often addressing the interplay between personal memory and collective experience through repetition, abstraction, and performative gestures.

Domagala lives and works in Berlin and has exhibited widely in Europe and internationally, with presentations at Stallmann Galerie, Mountains Galerie, Kunstverein Marburg, DOD Gallery, THK Gallery, Galerie Burster, MetroArts Brisbane, and the Bonner Kunstverein. She has participated in curated projects at König Galerie, Galerie Heike Strelow, and Stallmann, among others. Her work has been recognized with awards and residencies including NALUSACA (Sardinia, 2025), Stiftung Kunstfonds (2022), Akademie der Künste (2021), and a nomination for the Berlin Art Prize (2014).
