Filip Henin

Filip Henin (b. 1986, Mayen, Germany) is a contemporary visual artist based in Berlin and Cologne. He studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig under Walter Dahn, graduating in 2015. Drawing on memory, history, and archival traces, his practice spans painting, installation, and digital work, exploring the shifting boundaries between abstraction and representation, presence and absence.

Henin’s work has been presented in solo exhibitions including Is this really me! (Robert Grunenberg, Berlin, 2024) and Regarding Past at Noon (Robert Grunenberg, Berlin, 2023). Recent group exhibitions include Über den Zaun (DOD x THK Gallery, Köln, 2025), Where are we now (Miettinen Collection, Sammlung Philara, Düsseldorf, 2025), and Nous N’irons plus au bois… (Robert Grunenberg, Berlin, 2025).
